Doug Lee

Sales Executive

A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with degrees in English and French, Doug Lee grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, in a house where his parents still live. He spent summers at Hilton Head and began working there in 1977 soon after he graduated. In 1984, he made a trip to Kiawah with the sole goal of "checking out my competition" and but was so impressed with the Island that he took a job that day! President of the Gibbes Museum of Art, Doug also served as a board member of the Historic Charleston Foundation, the Charleston Horticultural Society, the Charleston Concert Series, and the Charleston Neighborhood Association - and he’s a Development Committee member of Bishop Gadsden. "I’ve worked here 25 years and this is only my second job," he says. "I can't imagine being anywhere else."

KIRE has the only real estate sales team located on Kiawah. We have 23 sales executives, and many are long-time Kiawah residents who can share both their knowledge of the Island and their enthusiasm for Kiawah’s rewarding lifestyle.
