Ellen Walkley
A Pittsburgh native, Ellen Walkley, has lived on the Island since 1996 and has been very involved in the community. She first began selling real estate in Kennebunk, Maine in 1977. According to Ellen, "My work in Maine made living in a beautiful place a necessity." Ellen is also the founder of Gibbes, etc., an organization created to involve Kiawah women in support of The Gibbes Museum. She has served on the board for a number of years and is currently its President . Gibbes, etc, is responsible for the Kiawah Art and House Tour every April. Along with the 150 permanent residents who are members of Gibbes, etc., Ellen has helped to raise over $500,000 for the Museum. Ellen enjoys sharing Kiawah's beauty and helping new owners enjoy the wonderful life here.
