Kay Halsey

Florida native Kay Halsey has the next best thing to Lowcountry roots - a husband who’s a native Charlestonian. Formerly the manager of one of the top social security offices in the country and the founder of a successful answering and secretarial service, Kay has become deeply connected to the community as a volunteer with Charleston Collegiate School, Charleston Day School, Ashley Hall, a fundraiser for Hospice, and a member of the Junior League. She served as President of the Kiawah Ladies Nine Holers Association and on the Grievance and Ethics Professional Standards Committee for the Charleston Trident Board of Realtors. Kay finds the people to be the best part of her job at KIRE. She says, "I meet such interesting people. They're well traveled and have some great stories to tell." Her own travels first brought Kay to Kiawah when she began vacationing to the Island. "I thought it was the most beautiful place I’d ever been," she says.
